Something not working, or a card that won't scan? Email james.cayden.duff@gmail.com and include your iPhone model, iOS version, and which shop's card is giving trouble.
Tap +, point the camera at the barcode on your physical card, then give it a name. That's the whole flow. If the barcode is scuffed or the lighting is poor, you can type the number printed underneath it instead.
Tap the card. LCS turns the screen white, pushes brightness to maximum, and stops the screen locking — all so the till scanner reads it first time. Hold the phone flat and roughly 10–15 cm from the scanner.
Choose Manual from the sort menu, tap Edit, then drag cards by their handles. You can also sort by name, by most recently used, or by most used.
Swipe a card left and tap Delete. Nothing is destroyed — deleted cards move to Settings → Deleted cards, where you can put them back. They are only gone for good once you remove them there.
Clean the screen, and check nothing is dimming it — Low Power Mode and auto-brightness in direct sunlight both fight against you. If a particular card never scans, its barcode may use a format LCS cannot reproduce exactly; email us with the shop name and we'll look at it.
Make sure the whole barcode including the white space either side is inside the frame. Some worn cards simply won't read — type the number in by hand instead.
Yes, unless you turned on iCloud backup. By default cards live only on your device, so deleting the app erases them permanently. Updating the app is always safe.
Open Settings → Deleted cards and tap Put back. Deleting a card only hides it; it stays recoverable until you remove it permanently from that screen.
Yes. Settings → Export cards as JSON writes a plain, readable file you can save anywhere. Unlike iCloud backup it is a snapshot, so an older file still holds what was there on the day you saved it. Import from a backup file puts them back, adding only the cards that are missing.
Only if you ask it to. Turn on Back up to iCloud in Settings and your cards are copied to your own private iCloud, where they survive deleting the app and appear on your other devices. With it off — the default — cards never leave the device.
LCS is free and fully functional for 14 days. After that, a one-time purchase lets you keep adding new cards. It is not a subscription and never renews.
Nothing. Every card you have already saved stays available and works exactly as before. The purchase only covers adding further cards.
Open the unlock screen and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. The unlock is permanent and covers all your devices, and it is shared with your family group if you use Family Sharing.
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
LCS has no account, no server, and no analytics. Nothing you put in it leaves your phone. See the privacy policy for the details.
